Key Solutions began in 1991 as a consulting company offering IT services and custom solutions. But everything changed when we partnered with an R1 university facing challenges with research-related regulatory compliance.

This is when we quickly recognized a gap: universities had tools, but no comprehensive, web-based solution. That's why we built one. As we worked on that solution, we saw an even bigger opportunity: the need for an integrated product that seamlessly shared data across departments.

From day one, this vision became the foundation of everything we created. We understood that the research community is diverse, with users like researchers, faculty members, graduate students, coordinators, and review committee members, all of whom have busy, demanding roles.

With this in mind, we designed a product that's intuitive and easy to use so that research teams can quickly create protocols adhering to regulations, and reviewers can efficiently provide feedback.

But we weren’t done yet. As research needs evolved, so did we. We even began integrating AI and machine learning to help organizations streamline every step of their workflows. Despite serving research organizations for over decades, Key Solutions believe that it’s just the beginning, and our journey of innovation continues.
